How I Use Olaplex
Olaplex has become a staple in my hair care routine. I didn’t know my hair needed a bond-building treatment until I tried Olaplex! The ingredient that sets Olaplex apart from other products is Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate.
I believe anyone who bleaches their hair should be using Olaplex at least once a month. The product is for damaged hair, not just blondes however, I know bleach is very damaging and I have seen a positive change in my bleached hair since using Olaplex.
I listened to a podcast from Founded Beauty and he interviewed Danielle Frank, a spokesman for Olaplex. It was fascinating hearing what all of the products do and it confirmed my trust in the brand. So I will sum up what the products do, how I use them, and which products I believe are actually worth the money.
No. 3: Hair Perfector
I use this product before I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner, and I believe this one makes the biggest difference. I usually dunk my head in the bathtub to get my hair wet, then I apply the product and make my breakfast while the product soaks in for at least 10 minutes. Then I jump in the shower and use shampoo and conditioner. If I could only afford one Olaplex product, I would spend all of my money on this one.
No. 4: Shampoo
The Olaplex Shampoo is really nice. I love the way it feels and I’ve been told by an Olaplex team member that the Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner can be used daily. However, it’s not necessary to spend my money on their shampoo and conditioner if I already have a shampoo and conditioner that I like using.
No. 5: Conditioner
The conditioner just isn’t worth the purchase. I would purchase the No. 8 Moisture Mask instead.
No. 6:
In the podcast I listened to Danielle claims it reduces humidity for up to 72 hours! This is a leave in product. I apply this product to damp hair after my normal hair wash routine.
No. 7: Oil
This hair oil is amazing and very lightweight, but it’s so tiny. It does have heat protectant in it so that’s a plus! It’s up to you if you want to spend your money on the oil. I use this on damp hair or dry hair. View my TikTok video to learn how I do the viral Olaplex Bun.
No. 8: Bond Intense Moisture Mask
My holy grail! Wow, this product leaves my hair feeling so soft! 12/10. This product replaces my conditioner and I leave it on for at least 10 minutes.
No. 4P: Blonde Enhancing Toner Shampoo
This purple shampoo is elite. It is very strong, but it doesn’t leave my hair purple. It seems to be a perfect bright ashy blonde balance. I only need to leave this product in my hair for one minute then I rinse and use a different shampoo.
Which Products are Worth the Money?
In conclusion, the Olaplex products I would purchase again are No. 3, 6, and 8. This is a really great lineup I use in order too. Use my link to shop Olaplex products.
